I am just a girl, in love with Nature, in love with Life, Raw Foods, Freedom and Fruits. I feel like my life has been like living many different life times in just a matter of little over 20 years, and I know there is much more to come. I have a passion to share what worked for me, because maybe it will work for someone else to. My life has changed quite a lot and still is. Here is a brief overview: I started depressed, living in Denmark, haven taken an overdose of Beta Blockers, because I just wanted it to end. Now I am living in sunny Spain, with my soul mate, in the mountains being more free and happy than ever. And this is just the beginning! How could this happen? Let us begin from where it all started…
As far as I can remember, I was very insecure and just did not feel good in my body. And after some comments about being chubby, I really wanted to loose weight. I remember being 10 years old, I decided to not eat ever again because I felt so unworthy. Off course that did not happen, but it started my eating disorder. When I was 14, I was admitted to the Psychiatric Hospital with a severe case of Anorexia.
The hospital got me back to a normal weight range, but the real cause of the anorexia was not fixed. The real cause, which is the real cause of so many issues we see in people, was that deep down I did not feel good enough, because that was what I had learned. And there was no way the hospital could help fix that, it is an inner journey and only people that actually truly are rooted in love can help you on this journey. So for many years after getting out of the hospital, I was struggling a lot. My relationship with food was awful, I just could not find peace with the one substance that was supposed to sustain me. And once I started loosing more control over the food, I just focused my attention elsewhere, to distract myself from the strong sense of not being good enough or lovable. So with the years, I became more and more depressed, I started to rely more and more and alcohol and I became shopaholic. On the outside I looked like the happy girl. I was good looking, I had good friends and I was getting very good grades (yet another way I tried to prove my worth). Very few people around me actually knew how bad I was doing. It all culminated in 2010 when I tried to kill myself. I took and overdose of Beta Blockers, I just did not feel like I could take it anymore, I saw no other way out. The attempt was unsuccessful and deep down I knew that there had to be a way out. That life had to be about more than what I was told and saw around me. So I did all I could to find the will and faith inside to get better. It was a challenging time, since I still had not been exposed to the truth but I kept finding that will. And today I see and understand much more about why I tried to kill myself, I felt like I did not want to live, but actually it was the illusion I wanted to kill. It was my faulty beliefs and my chatty mind, but not the true me, which cannot ever die anyway.
In the period of trying to find a way out, I was handed Louise Hays book “Heal yourself”, which sparked something in me. When I read it, it just resonated so much with me and I knew what she said was true: that we have much more power in our minds than we think.
Fast forward 1.5 year after that, after letting more go of the depression, but indulging more in alcohol and shopping, I was exposed to the term “Raw Food”. One of my friends parents had embarked on Gourmet raw foods and had gained a lot of vitality and lost a lot of weight. My relationship with food was still one big battle, so I was interested in anything that could ensure weight loss. And deep down, it just made a lot of sense to not cook our foods, like nature intended. So I started eating gourmet raw, which was not a success, I felt just as heavy, it took a lot of prep time and in general a lot of work. So I let it go again, but it had opened my eyes to a new world. I had joined a raw food forum and in there, I was exposed to the term 80-10-10 or low fat raw vegan. This was a whole other way of eating raw foods, based on fruits and vegetables. It seemed so simple! And I noticed that the people who ate that way all were very lean, so that was the main motivator for me. Little did I know how much it would change the course of my life.
I embarked on the 80-10-10 way of eating and the first day of eating like that, I knew that was it. I knew I had finally found a way of eating that I could find peace with. I felt so light, satisfied and energized after the meals, it was a whole new experience. Eating that way, opened up something inside me. It opened my heart. Suddenly I started to realize things about existence that I had never had access to before. And I started to feel a deep sense of love in my heart. I started to feel passion and I started to see the bigger picture. I knew I was on the right path and I started to work intensively on developing self-love, or more accurately, let go of my faulty beliefs and emotion to let the truth, love, shine trough.
It was such a beautiful, but also tough time of transformation. For in the awakening, I was forced to let go of everything negative in my life. And my body was changing a lot too. I gained a lot of weight and in general probably looked the worst I ever had in my life. It made people around me disbelieving about the lifestyle, but I knew it was the right thing. And I understand now, that it was very important for me to shed the attachment to appearance. So many women think that if they just look a certain way, they will be happy, and they base their whole life on that. That was what I had did and in seeing that I was actually happier than ever, while looking worse than ever, I realized that no matter how I looked I could be happy! I realized I was the only one I could truly get love from and that loving myself is the only way I could allow myself to break free.
The picture above is from 2012 and since the beginning of 2012 was when a great spiritual journey took place inside me. 2012 was a year of shedding negativity indeed. In shedding the negative, illusory beliefs and circumstances, I made space for the truth to come through and very beautiful things appeared. By an intuitive lead, I found my soul mate and together we have empowered the truth in each other. I found amazing people, who were on the same journey and for the first time in my life, felt what true, unconditionally loving relationships felt like.
Since I started this site and my Youtube Channel, many things has happened. I had relapsed into anorexia again with raw foods this time, only to realize that a certain way of eating is not the way out. The way out is the deal with problem, to face the fears and not just to stick with some food that seems safe. I am opening up a lot, evolving a lot and I know this is barely the beginning. I am excited to share all that I learn with you guys
